Sunday Morning, Mark

  • Yesterday was the Alzheimer’s walk, and the fundraising support from far and wide was both unexpected and overwhelming.
  • My sister’s patience with my nieces continues to be…I don’t know how she does it.  I’m not sure if this is something that is actually a gratitude, but I can’t stop thinking about it.
  • I had a really lovely dinner with Rocky, Carter, SP, and Tommy last night and it felt lovely and cozy.
  • My fall haircut, and the privilege to indulge in bourgie shit as I do.

Friday, Mark:

  •  There's been an unexpected bit of catharsis about posting on my Mom's ALZ, and the subsequent support that's come in for the ALZ walk this weekend.  I'm grateful for that.
  • I got a super great haircut yesterday, and the guy that cuts my hair is also hot and flirts just the right amount to make me feel all tingly.
  • The arrival of fall and the chillier weather has me in FULL Sunday Scary mode about the coming winter, BUT I am sooooooooo happy to be wearing sweaters this week, I can't even stand it.

Thursday, Mark:

  • Last night's first date with the red head who asked about my preferred fetishes/whiskey
  • My heating pad
  • Eric, the eastern medicine/bodywork expert who is spending this week reconfiguring my spine

  • I love checking things off my list, and I'm *finally* getting this gratitude blog thingee off the ground!
  • Adele's "Make you feel my love" just came on the radio, and that seems auspicious.  Like, I'm being hugged by the universe via Adele's deep and abiding bosom.
  • Gus is being a particularly cute fluffer chunker today, and is watching my type from my very cozy little office (where I may also have an apple cider candle burning), and I'm grateful for this gentle little space to work from.
  • Musical update, since I started writing, the next song came on WFUV (public radio out of NYC, one of my favorite stations in the country), and it's the Stone's singing "Like a Rolling Stone."  I really love live radio, and the people who do it well. The surprise of "I didn't even know that I wanted to hear this song right now," particularly when it's generated from a live person instead of an algorithm, is one of my favorite things.

HALLOWEEN Gratitude: Mark

Well, I weighed myself this morning, and am literally five pounds heavier than I was on Friday, due - I'm sure - entirely to this weeken...
